About
About Olivia Nash, LCSW
Registered Play Therapist in Virginia Beach, VA
Hi! I’m Olivia Nash.
Helping kids of all ages recognize goodness in themselves and feel confident in how to navigate life is one of my passions. Adults were once children too and have the ability and need to find healing in the same way.
I have spent years learning about people and what they need at different stages of life because of my own experiences and the experiences of those around me. This lead me to deeper learning through school and trainings, where I studied about child development, learned more about people, and dove into different methods to support people’s healing and growth.
All people need to feel seen and know that they have worth, especially when facing challenges. We will work together so you can find strength, peace, and direction within yourself and in relationships with others. This will lead to healing according to your beliefs and values. I know that whether you are a child, teen, or adult, you can experience safety and connection.

My Approach
I’m a Registered Play Therapist focused on helping children ages 3 and up, teenagers, and adults improve their relationship with themselves, their emotions, and those around them. My work focuses on using play therapy, art, and sand to support healing from developmental trauma and attachment wounds, and improve behaviors, emotions, and negative beliefs. By working together we can find ways to build healthy relationships and improve self-trust, whether that’s for yourself or for your child.
I also work from a developmental and attachment lens because so much of who we are now is related to where we have come from. We will take a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to help you feel like therapy is do-able and to help you feel secure while we work together. Therapy can be difficult at times, but we will work together to find a pace and direction that feels good to you. And we will do it in a way that helps you feel more confident in yourself.

Sometimes it’s nice to know a little bit about your therapist outside of therapy, so here is a little about me:
In my free time I love going on walks, rearranging the furniture, traveling, and baking.
I also really value spending time with my family, visiting friends, and playing with my cat.
For self-care I try to prioritize doing yoga, listening to books, taking time to play, and connecting with people I care about!
